Get ready for an exciting day of running and camaraderie at the Pi & Pasty Challenge - Day 1, organized by Running Events Devon! Join us on Saturday, March 14th, 2026, in the beautiful coastal town of Exmouth, Devon, for a unique and welcoming event designed for runners and walkers of all abilities. You can participate at your own pace in our flexible 'TUGG' system, turning up anytime between 7:30 AM and 2:30 PM, with a generous 7-hour time limit to complete as many laps as you can on a scenic 5.3k out-and-back route along an old disused train line.
Whether you're aiming to tackle just one lap or pushing for an ultra distance, each participant will be celebrated as a finisher. Achieve a half marathon distance with 4 laps, a full marathon with 8 laps, or see how far you can go with 9 or more laps! Plus, every finisher will receive a medal to commemorate their achievement. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself, enjoy the great outdoors, and savor a delicious pasty or pie at the finish line. Just be sure to register before March 6th

Running Events Devon would like to invite you to come and run with us.
This event is being held on the 14th March 2026.
We are operating our 'TUGG' system as in Turn Up Get Going, you can turn up any time between 7:30 and 14:30 BUT you have to be finished by 15:30.
Absolutely all abilities of runners / walkers can take part in our events as you have 7 hours to get to the finish of your final lap, each lap is 5.3k out and back, of our scenic route on an old disused train line.
Everyone is welcome whether you are planning to walk or run, whether you finish 1 lap, 4 laps or even 14 laps in the permitted time, we would class you as finisher and a winner, and you can collect your Medal for the event. This event will have a 7 hour cut off for you to enjoy as many laps as you would like. 1 lap is 5.3k so 4 laps will give you a half marathon, 8 laps will give you full marathon distance, 9 or more laps for an Ultra.
Please come and have a try and see how far you can go.
Just to note if entering late after Friday 6th March 2026, we cannot guarantee your choice of Pasty or pie as we need order them.

A great little race, very well organised and a nice course, 8 laps seems psychologically very achievable. Very low-key, the marathon only had 15 people, who'd have thought that I'd finish 9th in a marathon!
And the medal, definitely the best I've ever had, not only is it well designed and chunky, it spins!!!

I was a 10k race virgin attending this event and was very surprised with a warm welcome and a lot of encouragement from fellow runners. A well organised event with clear marked path and a finishing time handed with medal on completion. Asked before taking photos and respected boundaries. Tim and Jenny truly lovely people and I will return.
