Starting in Bakewell with a long route of 165km (103 miles) with 4000m (13000 feet) of climbing, taking in the full length and breadth of the Peak District, the terrain along this ride is relentless, continuously up and down, twisting and turning - it is billed as one of the toughest sportives in the UK. Shying away from using busy main roads wherever possible, the Peak Epic takes you on quiet/scenic Peakland lanes and roads that you probably never even knew existed. Medium and shorter route options (101km/62 miles and 63km/39 miles) for those who want an easier day out.
