Organiser's Description

The 6-day adventure through the country's only Coastal National Park.

September will see athletes take on the inaugural Pembs 186, running from Cardigan in the North of the county to Amroth in the south. Expect breathtaking scenery, porpoises, puffins, dolphins and views that will take your breath away...if some of the hills haven’t already!

Set along one of the best-known, most picturesque long-distance trails in the world - the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The Pembs186 route traverses a coastal trail with over 35,000 feet of ascent and descent over 186 miles.

What's Included

This is a fully supported adventure race over 6 days. Entry covers all race accommodation, hearty food, kit transfer from each camp, GPS tracking and course safety.

Entry covers all race accommodation in the form of a well-equipped camp in stunning locations. Tents will be erected for you.
Breakfast and Evening Meals will be supplied as well as hot water in camp to make any additional meals your nutritional plan caters for.
Bags will be moved from camp to camp.
Water stations for fuelling and medical assistance on course.
Charging stations at camps.
Medical in camp.
Post-event Party and Awards on last evening.

WHERE DO WE MEET?
You must be 18 years old by the day of the race to compete.

Registration and 1st night - https://w3w.co/succumbs.tiger.inviting . Here you will be registered, have your kit checked and settle into your tent. There will be a welcome talk and a meal with all athletes, before settling down to sleep prior to day 1.

In the morning you will be transported to the start line and your kit will be taken to Camp 1. You will keep your tent number for the duration of the event.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost is £1499 but the early bird entry for the first year only will be £999. We also offer monthly payment plans to help with the cost.



CAN FRIENDS COME WITH ME?
Not for the event, but they are welcome to join you for the final evening, join the post-event party and celebrate your incredible achievements. They can also book into the athlete campsite.

The ultimate Pembrokeshire Coast ultramarathon is set place to take in September.

A gruelling, but epic adventure traversing through 35,000ft of ascent and descent across Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. A resilience-demanding and determination-driving course showcasing paramount views that Pembrokeshire offers.

Launching from Cardigan in the North of the county, through to Amroth in the South, with checkpoints throughout with pre-set up camps for overnight resting.

Expect breath-taking scenery, non-stop wildlife and of course, an extreme challenge.

A fully supported challenge providing accommodation, hearty food, kit transfer to each camp, GPS tracking and safety. Ending with a post-event party in Freshwater East!

KIT REQUIREMENTS
The event takes place in September in a coastal area and as such weather can be changeable so please be prepared for conditions that could range from very hot to very wet.

COMPULSORY EQUIPMENT TO BE PROVIDED BY PARTICIPANT:
Backpack
Running vest of choice – must be able to carry minimum of 1.5l water
Sleeping bag
Sleeping mat
Light down or fiberfill jacket. No substitutions are acceptable (wool shirts, fleece, etc.)
Rain poncho or waterproof jacket with hood and taped seams
Compass
Course Map (Supplied)
Mobile Phone charged pre-race every day
Signal mirror 20 cm2 (3 in2) minimum
Whistle
Plate, bowl, mug and cutlery
Foil emergency/Space blanket
Headlamps with spare batteries, each headlamp must be a minimum of 200 lumens
Red flashing light (to be affixed to backpack for evening stage, a spare battery for this is also recommended)
Ability to carry 1.5 liters (50 oz) of water minimum. Recommend 2 x 750ml bottles but bladders are acceptable. Please refer to Water section under Rules and Regulations for more details of water supply)
Race Number to be fixed to front and visible at all times. Supplied
Medical and Blister Kit sufficient for your needs for the entire event- (alcohol wipes, hypodermic needle(s), paper tape, elastic tape. You are expected to be self-sufficient
Additional food for camp and race. (Breakfast and evening meal supplied)
Tracker (Supplied)
Note: All equipment and clothing must be labeled with full name and/or race number.

THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED FOR INCREASING PERSONAL COMFORT:
A power bank (ca. 10,000-20,000mAh) for recharging devices
Travel pillow or pillowcase (to stuff with clothes)
A fresh set of running clothes for each day
Personal washing things and towel
Ear plugs
Anti-chaffing / lubrication ointment
Any luxury food items
