Participants can choose from two start times: an 8:30 AM start with a generous 7-hour cutoff or a 10:30 AM start with a 5-hour cutoff. Whether you aim to complete one lap or challenge yourself to 14 laps, everyone is celebrated as a finisher and will receive a medal for their achievement.
With limited places available, be sure to secure your spot early! If capacity is reached, late entrants will still receive a bespoke medal of their choice from a selection available on the day. For those traveling from afar, we highly recommend the Fox & Hounds for comfortable accommodation, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Running Events Devon would like to invite you to come and run with us.
At our new venue, the Pheasant Challenge Day 1 event is being held on the Saturday 13th June 2026
We still have our 2 start times an 8:30 start with a 7 hour cut off, and a 10:30 start with a 5 hour cut off.
Absolutely all abilities of runners / walkers can take part in our events as you have 7 hours to get to the finish of your final lap, each lap is 5.3k out and back, of our scenic route on an old disused train line.
Everyone is welcome whether you are planning to walk or run, whether you finish 1 lap, 4 laps or even 14 laps in the permitted time, we would class you as finisher and a winner, and you can collect your Medal for the event.
Please come and have a try and see how far you can go.
Places are strictly limited so please do not leave it too late to enter, if and when we reach capacity anyone entering after, will get a bespoke medal of their choice of the ones that we have with us on that day.
