Join us for the Pheasant Challenge Day 2, an exciting running event hosted by Running Events Devon on Sunday, June 14th, 2026, in the picturesque town of Okehampton, Devon. This event welcomes runners and walkers of all abilities, offering two start times: 8:30 AM with a generous 7-hour cut-off, and 10:30 AM with a 5-hour cut-off. Participants will enjoy a scenic 5.3k out-and-back lap along an old disused train line, surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Whether you're aiming to complete one lap or push your limits with up to 14 laps, everyone is a winner at the Pheasant Challenge, with medals awarded to all finishers.

Running Events Devon would like to invite you to come and run with us.
At our new venue, the Pheasant Challenge Day 2 event is being held on the Sunday 14th June 2026
We still have our 2 start times an 8:30 start with a 7 hour cut off, and a 10:30 start with a 5 hour cut off.
Absolutely all abilities of runners / walkers can take part in our events as you have 7 hours to get to the finish of your final lap, each lap is 5.3k out and back, of our scenic route on an old disused train line.
Everyone is welcome whether you are planning to walk or run, whether you finish 1 lap, 4 laps or even 14 laps in the permitted time, we would class you as finisher and a winner, and you can collect your Medal for the event.
Please come and have a try and see how far you can go.
Places are strictly limited so please do not leave it too late to enter, if and when we reach capacity anyone entering after, will get a bespoke medal of their choice of the ones that we have with us on that day.
If looking for somewhere local to stay we can highly recommend the Fox & Hounds, they have rooms available as well as their bunk house and camping, the food is also highly recommended; check out their website here, foxandhoundshotel.com
