Choose from the 2k Fun Run, perfect for young athletes aged over 4, starting at 1:30 PM, or challenge yourself with the 5k race for participants aged over 11, kicking off at 2:00 PM. For seasoned runners, the 5 mile race starts at 2:45 PM and is open to those aged over 15.
All races will be chip-timed, ensuring accurate results, and every finisher will receive a unique medal from our partner, Earth Medals, celebrating your achievement while supporting a great cause. Proceeds from the event will benefit Preloved Sports CIC, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing sportswear waste and promoting sustainable practices in the community. Joins us for the 1st ever of The Green Runs a set of runs on York Cycle Track to raise funds for Preloved Sports CIC.
Participants can choose between the 2k Fun Run (2 laps), 5k (5 laps) and or 5 mile (8 laps).
The Fun Run starts at 13.30pm (Need to be over 4 years old)
The 5k starts at 14.00pm (Need to be over 11 years old)
The 5 mile starts at 14.45pm (Need to be over 15 years old)
All races will be chip timed by Seasons Best Sports Timing and a medal for all participants from our Re-Action collective Partner Earth Medals.
Preloved Sports is a non profit community interest company who mission is to reduce the amount of sportswear going into landfill.
