Queen of the Suburbs Ultra

The Route
The route is on mixed terrain: footpaths, tarmac, gravel, grass, mud. Some sections of the route may be liable to flooding/muddy conditions. In particular, the Ultra 50km route (just after the Split point) is particularly wet,
The route will include many of the highlights of London's greenest Borough - including Horsenden Hill, canal tow paths and many of the parks and green spaces in Ealing.
​GPX and KML files of the finalised routes will be available to all entrants, along with a Google map.

Medical & wellbeing
Medics will be available to provide assistance, if needed. The best way to avoid needing the support of our medical team is to prepare well, wear appropriate clothing, stay hydrated throughout and adapt your run to the conditions.
​You may also find it helpful to team up to help each other through the challenge.

Categories
The Ultra 50k and Trail 25k only has individual options, but you're very welcome to take part as a group with friends/family. So, if you have a team of you wanting to take part - why not agree to all walk/run it together?

Hydration
Water will be provided at Checkpoints along the course. Please bring your own water/fuel for the start of the challenge, and then top up your bottle or collapsible cup at the water station(s). In the interests of sustainability, we do not provide any plastic cups. Please bring your own re-usable cup.

All runners will receive the following:

- GPX files of the route
- training plans
- guided free training runs
- a baggage service
- water and aid stations on the route
- finishers medal

• Scenic mainly off road route, support from great volunteers, bespoke medal

Do I have to stop at the Checkpoints?
No, you do NOT have to stop at the Checkpoints.

Checkpoint 1 and 2 on the Trail 25km route and Checkpoints 1 and 5 on the Ultra 50km route are all in the same location - the Fox Inn, Hanwell. This Checkpoint is 30m off the route and is non mandatory. You do not have to stop here.

The other Checkpoints on the Ultra 50km are also non mandatory to stop at, but you will be running directly past them. Please do show (or call out) your bib number to the Checkpoint team as you go through. The Checkpoint teams will be tracking the numbers of runners as they come through, either by noting their numbers or by scanning the bar code on the bib number.

When will I receive my race pack?
There is no race pack to be received. All elements for the event are collected at registration, on the day of the event.

Is there a baggage service?
Yes, small bags can be left with our team at the start of the event. Your small bags will be taken by us to the finish location, for you to collect at the end of your run. There is no charge for this service.

You will be given a bag tag as part of your race pack, which is collected on arrival at the event. The bag tag should be secured to your bag in a prominent position.
