How to Get There

Parking on The Downs is not permitted. If you arrive early you may find spaces on the surrounding roads but be aware that road closures are in place on Stoke Road, & Ladies Mile. Stewards will be there on the day to direct you. Please note there is limited disabled parking on Stoke Road.

Please utilise public transport: Clifton train station is a 10 minute walk from the venue which links to the main train station Temple Meads. Buses run up to The Downs from the town centre. Please go to firstgroup.com for timetables.

Course Details

The Pretty Muddy Bristol route is a fairly flat course with mixed terrain that mostly follows the perimeter of The Downs, taking in amazing views of the Gorge and Suspension Bridge. This event has some extra challenges thrown in with some fun obstacles to do together. There are lots of opportunities for supporters to watch the fun at each obstacle and the whole event has a fantastic atmosphere.

Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Further Information

Whilst this course is not accessible for wheelchair users given the nature of the obstacles, the event site is accessible. There are a limited number of spaces available on Stoke Road which is closed but accessible for wheelchair users and our volunteers

The main event site is on grass, which is cut just before the event, and a variety of pathways across The Downs to allow spectators to watch participants as they make their way around the course.

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.

Please bring a filled water bottle with you to your event as we're proactively managing our impact on the environment. We will be removing single-use plastic bottles.
