Course Details

Our 5k event offers a single lap route around the historic and beautiful City of Chester, starting and finishing within the grounds of the world's oldest race course.

The terrain is predominantly road and path with some grass sections at the start and finish within the race course. The route includes some short uphill stretches but should be suitable for most levels of fitness and experience.

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

Further Information

All vehicles must access the venue via New Crane Street but there is also pedestrian access via steps on Nun Street. Please see travel information section for detail on blue badge parking.

The start and finish areas are both on the same grass field but are within approximately 50m of each other and on flat ground.

Please read the course information section regarding the terrain and uphill sections to decide whether you feel this is a suitable course; it has been deemed 'not suitable for wheelchair users' through an assessment.
