Organiser's Description

The 5k is an achievable distance and a good first challenge for most people. At just over 3 miles it can take about an hour to walk on average, but there's no pressure to finish in a certain time. Go at your own pace to help fund life-saving cancer research.

How to Get There

Pedestrians: The event site is located on Palm Bay Green, on the large grass area adjacent to the Palm Bay Café close to Sackett's Gap



General Event Parking: There is not a designated car park for this event, but there are a number of parking bays along the main road adjacent to Palm Bay.



Blue Badge Parking: There are no dedicated wheelchair parking spaces but the bays along the edge of the event site are wide enough.



Drop Offs: There are no designated drop off points, but there are many parking spaces long Palm Bay Avenue you can pull into.



Public Transport:



Bus: StageCoach bus route 33 stops just outside the event site at the bus stop.



Train: The closest train station to the venue is Margate Station, which is an 8-min taxi or 47-min walk from the event site.



Electric Charging points:



- Connected Kerb Charging Station - Turner - The Rendezvous Car Park, Margate CT9 1JD (1.4 miles).



- PoGo Charging Station - Market St, Margate CT9 1ED (1.6 miles).



Cycling Bike Racks:Bike racks by Palm Bay Cafe, approx. 4 Spaces

Further Information

The Margate course is suitable for wheelchairs users with assistance. The course covers both grass and tarmac pathways but is mainly flat.
