How to Get There

Please use city centre car parks for the event. There is no event parking on site.

Although parking has previously been available for this event on Southsea Common, unfortunately, this is no longer the case. Please use City Centre Car Parks or the Park and Ride service. Please click the link for Park & Ride information http://parkandride.portsmouth.gov.uk/whatson.shtml

Course Details

The Portsmouth 10k Race for Life route is a flat route running around the beautiful Southsea Common, taking in views of Ladies Mile. The 10k is a double lap of the 5k route.

Please arrive 30 to 45 minutes before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Further Information

The route is mainly on flat tarmac roads and paths but there is a large section of the course on Southsea Common itself, the grass is cut and flat but may be harder to navigate in wet weather.

This event is suitable for wheelchairs users and pushchairs with assistance.

There are no allocated drop off points for the event but please be aware that Avenue de Caen will be closed as part of the route.

Meeting Point Information

The meeting point and start line is within the park playing field off Mossley Hill Drive, near to The Needle statue.The finish line will also be within the similar vacinity.

Event Day Information

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.

Please bring a filled water bottle with you to your event as we're proactively managing our impact on the environment. We will be removing single-use plastic bottles.
