Long and Endurance riders will venture further towards Lewes, tackling the ups and downs around Balmer Down and Woodingdean, before enjoying a dramatic descent to the coast. Organiser's Description
Starting from Plumpton College in the heart of the South Downs, we’re ideally situated for a great day in the saddle. Straight away we climb to an impressive ridge line above the valley. Quick descents and zig-zag climbs follow as we head towards Devils Dyke and Truleigh Hill. Then back onto the South Downs Way, towards event HQ, from where Long and Endurance riders continue towards Lewes. More ups and downs follow as we navigate the trails around Balmer Down and Woodingdean. Endurance riders branch off at the 35 mile mark to enjoy a long descent to the coast. A challenging ascent awaits both Long and Endurance riders, before the descent to the finish. 4 distance options.
