How To Get There

Metrolink
The Etihad Stadium has its own dedicated Metrolink stop – Etihad Campus. Metrolink runs from the City centre to Etihad Campus, including Piccadilly Station and St Peter’s Square. Journey time for the tram service is less than ten minutes from Piccadilly Station. The Ashton line also serves Etihad Campus

Bus
A number of bus routes serve Etihad Campus from the City centre and outlying areas. These include the 188, 216 and 217 services.

Walking
There is a safe, well lit and signposted walking route available from Manchester Piccadilly Station. Follow the ‘City Link’ signs. It will take approximately 25 minutes to walk to the Etihad Stadium from the City centre.

Cycling
There are a number of bike racks around the stadium. The Club accepts no liability and all bikes are left at their own risk.

By Car
The Stadium is located in the East of Manchester, a short drive away from the City centre, and from the M60 Outer Ring Road. Take either junction 22 or 24 off the M60, towards the City centre. From there on, follow the signs for Sportcity. Please use the postcode M11 3DU. This is Gate 2 off Alan Turing Way by the Tennis & Football Centre. Please note that there will be no access for runners in any other gate.

Parking

Pay on the day parking is available on site at the Etihad Stadium in the Blue Car Park, accessed from Alan Turing Way, (Gate 2).

There are off-street car parks in the area, and on street parking may also be available.

Other Information

Baggage

We will have a secure area where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to the baggage tent staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets

There will be toilets on site for you to use, within the stadium.

Refreshments

We recommend bringing your own pre-filled reusable water bottle with you to the event if you would like to take on water during your race. However, we will also have a small water station with water in paper cups if needed during the race. We are limiting the use of single use plastic at the event to align with Etihad Campus’ Sustainability Drive. We will have water available at the finish line for you all to have after your race, alongside your post race goodies!

Chased the Moon. Loved every bit of it, including the last, painful bits. Brilliantly organised and a pleasure to look at large murals of Sergio Aguero and Colin Bell all the way round. Thanks to all the tambourine tappers who cheered us on too.

Great little race. It was very well-organised and somehow not boring for 4 laps as there are switch-backs etc. The perfect running conditions helped. I'd do this again.
