Did the half marathon at Oulton Park, The first 10K was my fastest and the pace after was amazing, great support from the course staff.

Great fun running round the racing track with people at different speeds (rather than in a bunch at same pace as in a road race). The setup is great - park next to the start, registration done in about a minute, no queues for toilets. Good to see extra small bottles of water on the course (why did it take so long??) but sports cap would be so much better.

Overall, I’d say it was a good race. Marshall’s and warm up were great and general organisation was good. As someone said previously, the distance signage was confusing as there are a lot of race formats. The only other thing is that it said a t-shirt was included but we didn’t receive one or see any?

A lovely location and course. Our first half marathons! Great facilities and organisation, and a special shout out to the brilliant marshalls. We liked the warm-up too. Our only niggle was the course distance signage, which was confusing and demoralising. To see the ‘19 miles to go’ sign every lap didn’t encourage either of us very much. This is a minor criticism, though. Can’t wait for the tshirt to arrive.

Fantastic experience for my first event. Lots of great support from the side lines and also from other runners. A wide range of experience from one runner to the next but all as equally supportive of each other. The atmosphere was great and the sense of achievement afterwards was amazing. Thank you

My first marathon at aged 61. Although I am a regular Parkrunner, I only completed 4 weeks focused preparation training. The objective was to complete the race within the cut off time. Objective achieved! Just want to express my thanks to all the staff during the event. Everyone was so motivational and encouraging. They were a defining factor in the completion of the run.....especially during the last 3 laps when the snow really started to come down. Now completing post recovery and will sign up for the next marathon on the 06 March 2022.

A great track to run around and it was organised really well. They placed distance markers around the circuit for all of the different races and it was easy to read and understand. The circuit itself was a really fun track to run, it had enough different elements to help keep focus without being too complex. It was really fun to be in the race on track for once instead of watching cars from the grass. I would definitely go again!

Great for spectators. My husband, who takes my jacket at the start then looks for somewhere to shelter while I run, pronounced Oulton Park the best venue yet. Parking was easy and close, efficiently directed by the venue staff. Portaloos were plentiful and clean. Best of all, the venue cafe was open: bacon butties, coffee, somewhere to sit indoors, proper toilets. Luxury! I did the 10k and was really impressed with the organisation, the friendly and encouraging staff, the brilliant medal and t-shirt and the range of goodies. The hilly sections were an unexpected challenge, but I ran a pb, so not complaining.

Fab, fun and friendly. This was first ever 5k event and it didn't disappointment. Communication from the venue was fantastic. It was really well organised and easy to find where I had to be and what I had to do. Everywhere was clean and all the staff helpful and friendly. Great encouragement as I ran round and was made to feel motivated.

St David's Day Dash. What a great way to start the month, a really well organised event, really handy to have water and gels available (for free) on every lap of the race, plenty of marshals to guide you around the course and to encourage you when the going got tough, great facilities on the site too for the spectators, nice looking medal and t-shirt for the finishers and lots of freebies on offer post race, would definitely recommend doing this event.

Well organised event, hilly course. My first 10K and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was well organised, especially given multiple distances out on the course at the same time. I found it hillier than expected and with Storm Jorge’s winds on the day it was tough going on some parts of the course. Fab medal and flapjack, so definitely worth the effort!

Good event, nice smooth course. Well planned out, only problem was the marathoners were left finishing with people packing up and having to ask for a drink, t shirt etc. I imagine for the shorter events the atmosphere was great. Considering the marathon entry cost the most it was a little disappointing at the end. Great commentary in the pit lane throughout though, course never felt crowded either

Nice surface. Overall a good event. Nice smooth surface. Nice knowing what's coming as you do laps but the hill repeats are tough. The banked corner is really awkward to run around. Not sure I would like to do a marathon on it.

Wow.... what a route. I love watching the super bikes at Oulton park so to get a chance to run a half marathon on the track was a Brill idea.... Its such a great run but omg... the 1st lap I nearly cried as realised how many hills and part of the track slopes which was quite hard. The 2nd and 3rd lap was great breezed it, 4th lap I was getting tired but still kept going. 5th and last lap I struggled so much,it was so tough. The aim was to not quit and get to that finish line... I did and I was holding back the floods of tears that was ready to open as I finished. Day after I feel great, what an achievement for me, would I do it again.... right now I'd say no... but never say never lol. Defo give it a go for something different but be ready for a challenge.

Well organised and friendly event. This was my very first 10k ever, and I was a bit nervous. It was obviously well organised with super friendly and polite volunteers and a really lovely atmosphere. I hope to be back again next year - thanks :)

Great event. Very well organised from start to finish. Simple booking process, I ran the 10k and the price was great value, includes the run, medal, t shirt, water, banana and a tasty flapjack. On the day everything is well set out and signposted. Great pre race warm up with an enthusiastic Mr motivator. Races are staggered starts so no big rush with people trying to get to the front. Track is hilly, 2 laps all tarmac for 10k. Post race is well organised for collecting goodies. Race times and photos are available quickly online also. I will definitely run at other events by the organisers.

Unique opportunity and smooth, lapped course. Such a fantastic chance to run on the Oulton Park race track. Marshals were great! The warm up before each of the races was so great to get everyone together feeling ready to go. It was cold and raining all day so any motivation was seriously appreciated!
