Event summary
Epic Events is excited to announce the return of the Southport Half Marathon & 10k on Sunday, 28th June 2020 in Southport, Merseyside. This will be the event's 8th and biggest edition yet, with increased capacity and more entertainment along the traffic-free route, including a run through the iconic Lord Street in Southport town centre. The start/finish area at Victoria Park will feature live music and entertainment for participants to enjoy. Custom medals and tech T-shirts will be given to all finishers, with both the Half Marathon and 10k courses officially certified for accurate distances. The event also includes a 1-mile race for children, aiming to make it one of the biggest children's races around. Pre-registration is required for the family mile event, which is free if a parent/guardian is registered for the Half Marathon or 10k, or £5 for individual kidz mile entries. Organiser's Description
Summer 2020 will see Southport Half Marathon return for its 8th and biggest edition to date. We have increased the capacity and increased the entertainment and music on the traffic free route which includes Lord Street in Southport town centre and a start/finish area with live music and entertainment in Victoria Park.
The route is the only running event in the history of Southport to be permitted to close Lord Street to traffic and allow participants to run through the heart of this famous seaside resort with custom medals and tech T Shirts for all finishers.
Fully UKA Licensed with HM & 10k courses accurately measured and officially certified distances.
The 1-mile event is for children. We are hoping to make it one of the biggest children’s races around. You must pre-register your child for the event via the main race entry link on this page whereupon you can select a family mile entry. The family mile is free to enter if parent/guardian has entered the Half Marathon of 10k or £5 (to cover bib number printing, postage, packing, medal etc) if it’s just a kidz mile entry only
