In Support of MWL NHS Charity
We are excited to bring to you the Southport Seaside 10k! This is an extremely fast, flat course that boasts real PB potential, whilst being accessible for beginners to run on a flat, partially closed road circuit.
The course is predominantly along Marine Drive for an out and back with views of the seafront and Southport Pier, before returning via the Promenade to the finish in Princes Park.
There is a 2 hours cut off due to road closures

Well organised, apart from the 800 metre walk to the start! Not at all keen on that, especially if it had been raining. Would suggest it be shortened! Parking was better than expected, told to come early as none was designated... so we did. Would also suggest a later start as some of us travelled quite a distance - Manchester in our case.... Bit of a long drawn out finish. Good atmosphere and well marshalled throughout the route.

Too far to walk to the start 800 metres! 🥵Definitely needs to be shortened. Organisation and marshalling very good. Ending was a bit off putting going over that bridge, lost out on finish time...

Lovely location and a fun morning. Really enjoyed it. Don't know how you arranged for the sun to shine for an hour on an otherwise rainy day!
Some suggestions for next time: the bottleneck where we had to leave the road and move onto the pavement at the roundabout could do with barriers. Marshalls were aware but they had to stand in the road to warn traffic.
Could have done with more marshalls at the finish, actively keeping people moving down.
A pity the family run late finishers ended up running through the people milling about at the 10k start. More marshalls or barriers needed.
