Join us for the Southport Seaside 10K on Sunday 1st August 2027!
Take on a fast, flat summer race with excellent PB potential and a welcoming course for beginners. The route follows a partially closed-road circuit, heading out and back along Marine Drive with views of the seafront and Southport Pier before returning along the Promenade to the finish in Princes Park. With coastal scenery and a speedy course, the Southport Seaside 10K is the perfect addition to your summer race calendar!
Race Distance & Start Times 09:00 am - 10k
Each kilometre is accurately marked with distance flags and our friendly marshals will guide and cheer you all the way to the finish. We cannot wait to welcome you to the Southport Seaside 10k. With RunThrough you can expect a friendly team of marshals to help guide you round the course and cheer you on to the finish, a lively and well-serviced event village with plenty of food and drink options including free goodies from our partners at the finish line after your hard effort.

Well organised, apart from the 800 metre walk to the start! Not at all keen on that, especially if it had been raining. Would suggest it be shortened! Parking was better than expected, told to come early as none was designated... so we did. Would also suggest a later start as some of us travelled quite a distance - Manchester in our case.... Bit of a long drawn out finish. Good atmosphere and well marshalled throughout the route.

Too far to walk to the start 800 metres! 🥵Definitely needs to be shortened. Organisation and marshalling very good. Ending was a bit off putting going over that bridge, lost out on finish time...

Lovely location and a fun morning. Really enjoyed it. Don't know how you arranged for the sun to shine for an hour on an otherwise rainy day!
Some suggestions for next time: the bottleneck where we had to leave the road and move onto the pavement at the roundabout could do with barriers. Marshalls were aware but they had to stand in the road to warn traffic.
Could have done with more marshalls at the finish, actively keeping people moving down.
A pity the family run late finishers ended up running through the people milling about at the 10k start. More marshalls or barriers needed.
