Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Part 4

Part 4 of our fabulous series for 2023!

Come and earn the fourth part of a set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Runners medal which create one large pizza medal! The medals are magnets so that you can display them all fitted together on the fridge! This is sure to be an AWESOME event, COWABUNGA dude!

Distance & Time: This is a 7hr Time Challenge event which allows you full control over the distance you want to run. The minimum distance is 5km, which is part of a lap. A full lap is 3.275 miles (5.25km) and you can run as many or as few of these laps as you wish in the 7hr time limit which starts from the official event start time. It is 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon and 7 or over for an ultra, we also have a 50km distance available.

Course: The course along a beautiful stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. The course is a large portion of grass (approximately 40%) and then well-made paths / tarmac. The grass can get muddy during winter months, especially when there is heavy rain. Whilst the course can be run in road shoes all year round, trail shoes would be better if you prefer the extra grip in the winter months and prolonged wet weather.

The regular course is subject to some change near the time of the event depending on our health and safety review of the course and council / land owner final approval.

Medals: As long as you complete one lap, you will be an official finish and you will receive our fantastic medal.

Goody Bag: Absolutely! You earned the calories after all, so all our finishers get a goody bag. As well as our standard goody bag, with a selection of various goodies to choose from, we also have a fabulous vegan goody bag for our vegan runners.

Distance Pins: We have distance pins available for anyone who runs a half-marathon distance or more. Pins available to collect are our Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km and Ultra pins. You will receive one pin on the ribbon of your medal to reflect your achievement.

Aid Table: We have a fantastic aid table and drinks table at the start / finish of each lap. There is a great selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items at the aid table.

Special Event:  If our event is a special event for you, for instance your 50th, 99th, 100th, 200th, 250th etc., half or full marathon then please let us know. You will receive a special running number with your name on it and the date of the event. Also, if it is your birthday run then again please let us know as we have a fabulous special birthday number for you too.

Toilets & Changing Facilities:  There are toilets available at the race HQ. Please note that there are no showering / changing facilities.

Final Instructions / Number pick up: Final race day instructions will be sent out via email 4-5 days prior to the event with full race day information. Number pick up is on the day at race registration before the start of the event.

Parking:  There is plenty of free street parking, or alternatively the park and ride (but dont ride!) car park is a short distance from the start.

Other Info:  There will be somewhere to leave a bag at the start / finish area. However, this is not a secure bag and the items cannot be watched at all times so please dont leave anything valuable.

Headphones are allowed.

Our running events are help on public footpaths so we would be grateful if all runners were considerate of other path users.
