The GRIM Challenge

Aldershot, Hampshire

Eelmoor Rd, Aldershot GU11 2HL, UK

Sun 5th December 2021

Organiser's Description

The GRIM is one of the original muddy/trail/obstacle races that dates back to 2003. We took over the running of the event in 2019 when it was threatened with closure. This will be our second time hosting the event and while we will fine-tune some of the delivery, we will continue to use the same course and the same format, with a main race over 8 miles and a lighter version over a shorter 4-mile course.

Although the GRIM is a tough trail race in which you will certainly find yourself cold, wet and dirty at points, we don't build any ramps, walls or swings on the course, all the obstacles are natural obstacles formed by tanks driving over the route or incessant rain in the weeks leading up to it. In a few places you will be crawling under cargo nets or wading though waist high water but the GRIM is a running race, albeit a challenging one.
