Event summary

Get ready to push your limits at The Gurkha Run Salisbury, organized by findarace.com. Taking place on Monday 6th October 2014 in Tidworth, Wiltshire, this event offers participants the chance to challenge themselves on Salisbury Plain, the British Army's top training area. With 10k and half marathon options available, runners will face tough hills, water obstacles, and even a Gurkha fitness station. The highlight of the race is the Doko Race, where participants carry weight uphill - a nod to the Gurkha soldiers who do the same with 75lb of stones on their back. Don't worry, your weight will be much lighter, and you won't have to trek all the way to Nepal for this thrilling experience!

Organiser's Description

Test yourself against the best across the British Army'€™s premier training area: Salisbury Plain. But be prepared for the best (worst) that the land has to offer – serious hills, waist high water and the Gurkha fitness station! 10k and half marathon options, both featuring the infamous Doko Race, which sees Gurkhas running uphill carrying 75lb of stones on their back – but don'€™t worry, you'll be given a much lighter weight, and the hill isn't in Nepal!
