The multi-award-winning Milton Keynes Marathon Weekend takes place during the early May Bank Holiday weekend. Join thousands at Buckinghamshire’s MOST POPULAR weekend of running. Conquer the Rocket 5k on the Sunday, and either the Marathon Relay, Half Marathon or Marathon on the Bank Holiday Monday.

Run both days and earn a third MK Challenge medal! 

We also have a colourful Superhero Fun Run on the Bank Holiday Monday morning.

All Monday events finish in the stunning StadiumMK cheered on by thousands of spectators!

We look forward to seeing you in May for an epic two days of running.

Course Details

We’re blessed with a tremendous amount of natural beauty in Milton Keynes, and we’re also lucky to have a world-class system of cycle paths known as redways. We have taken advantage of those factors to show off our green city, giving our runners a course that is scenic, interesting, inspiring, fun to run, fast, and excitingly different from other marathons.

How to Get There

The nearest railway station is Milton Keynes Central which is 1.6 miles from the event village. The station is served by trains from London Euston & Birmingham New Street.

Parking

If you are traveling by car you will need to park in Milton Keynes Centre. there will be parking available to purchase at the Stadium MK which be first come first served. However there is also a large amount of parking near by. Including centre:mk Multi-Storey Car Park, Please see the map for directions below.

Multi-Storey Car Park Open: 6 am - Midnight Daily.

Please do not park on any local residential streets as this can cause serious disruption to the event, residents and you will also be at risk of being fined.

There is plenty of accessible parking in the multi-storey car park.

  • How do i qualify for UKA Affiliated entry?

    Affiliation means a member of a club affiliated to a National Association (e.g. England Athletics, Scottish Athletics, etc.)

  • What is the minimum age to enter?

    You must be at least 18 years old on race day to run the MK Marathon. You must be at least 17 years old on race day to run the MK Half Marathon You must be at least 17 years old on race day to run the MK Marathon Relay You must be at least 15 years old on race day to run the Turing 10K You must be at least 12 years old on race day to run the MK Rocket 5K No age restriction for the Superhero Fun Run

We are extremely excited to announce that they are moving our massively popular event to Campbell Park, the premium event space in Milton Keynes from 2023. Superhero Fun Run

FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY
The Superhero Fun Run is a fantastic event for runners (or walkers!) of all ages and abilities. Experience what being a superhero is all about as you cross the finish line cheered by thousands of admiring spectators. This is a very colourful and fun addition to the MK Marathon event for the whole family and sells out every year, so don’t leave it too late to enter! Who’s joining us?

Fantastic event. Really well organised. Lovely scenic route, not much elevation, supportive crowds, plenty of aid stations. Campbell Park was a great place to hang out afterwards - live music, funfair and lots of nice food options. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
