Organiser's Description

This is the 4th time the event will be held. We are pleased to announce it's at home at Pembrey Country Park again!! The star attraction will be the giant slip and slide as in 2019 & 2023 but even better!!
There will be catering facilities, toilets and ample parking on site and the park also has it's own camping/caravanning site, there will also be plenty of attractions for the whole family. If you wish to book a camping pitch please go to Park's website.
All finishers will receive a top quality medal, and the race T shirt is optional in the Elite 10K, 5 & 10K Handicap races for all abilities.
There is also a 1.5 mile race for kids between 5 and 10 years old.

The course is a mixture of paths trails and the Mega Slip & Slide, and has some challenging obstacles. It is run on a handicap basis (except the Elite 10K which is a straight race with 20 seconds penalty for each obstacle not completed), which means anybody can win, regardless of ability. Each competitor predicts their finishing time and is not allowed to wear a watch or carry a mobile phone. Trophies will be awarded to the runners who are closest to their predicted time, both individual and team. There will be plenty of photos and a race video after the race

So, whether you are a serious athlete or a a fun runner then this race is for you. Why not do it for charity, get your mates involved and enter a team. Solo entries or teams of 3 are accepted.

10% of any profit will be donated to Hillside Animal Sanctuary

Superb day. Absolutely fantastic day, it blew me away when I found out it was their first year of setting the event up! I take my hat off to all the staff and volunteers. They made it fun with creative obstacles and motivated us all the way through! Maybe just have a timer at the end if the race so the runners know their time right at the end, but apart from that it was fantastic!
Many Thanks Brioney, we thoroughly enjoyed putting on the event, even the hard graft, your point about the timer is a good point, our thinking was that, as it was a predicted handicap event we didn't want the runners to see the clock from distance to avoid any cheating, but we will definitely consider it for next year and also in future events. So pleased you enjoyed it, it makes all the effort worthwhile.
