The 4th Annual Red Warrior Challenge Obstacle Course Races

Sun 30th June 2024

A circular emblem featuring a red and black Celtic cross with intricate knot patterns. Surrounding the top half of the emblem are the words "The Red Warrior" in a stylized font. The design has a bold and intricate appearance on a white background. A bearded man wearing a blue shirt, gray shorts, a hat, sunglasses, and a race number 107 is sliding down a soapy, wet black tarp. Water splashes up around him as he participates in an outdoor event or obstacle course. A person with short hair slides down a water slide, creating a large splash. They are wearing a black outfit with a race bib numbered 140 on their chest. The background is partially visible and appears to be part of an outdoor setting. A man with tattoos wearing athletic gear navigates through a vertical wall of tires. He is mid-climb with one leg inside a tire and the other leg stretched out. The background shows outdoor terrain and some yellow bars for support. He is number 576 in the race. A group of people crawl on their hands and knees under red netting at an outdoor event. The ground appears to be dry, with a slight incline. Everyone is focused on moving through the obstacle. The sky is overcast, indicating cloudy weather. Three participants in athletic clothing climb a rope net obstacle outdoors. The person on the left is in black, the middle in pink and black with a visible race number "238," and the person on the right in a dark top and black pants. Trees can be seen in the background.

Such a fun race! Really great race with lots of different types of obstacles through the race. Running route was so well signposted even I could find my way around and I have no sense of direction. Had plenty of marshalls who were really lovely and supportive. The slip and slide at the end of the race was just brilliant, I laughed so hard at the end of it I could hardly breathe:) I will be back next year for sure. Well organised, good quality medal, plenty of parking close to the start line. Suitable for all abilities.
Great to know you enjoyed it Eleri, see you next year and why not bring your friends. Also look out for our next event, The Multi Terrain Adventure Races at Pembrey, Sunday 13th October. 5K, 10K & 10 miles and there are separate Canicross races too. www.redwarrior.co.uk

Superb day. Absolutely fantastic day, it blew me away when I found out it was their first year of setting the event up! I take my hat off to all the staff and volunteers. They made it fun with creative obstacles and motivated us all the way through! Maybe just have a timer at the end if the race so the runners know their time right at the end, but apart from that it was fantastic!
Many Thanks Brioney, we thoroughly enjoyed putting on the event, even the hard graft, your point about the timer is a good point, our thinking was that, as it was a predicted handicap event we didn't want the runners to see the clock from distance to avoid any cheating, but we will definitely consider it for next year and also in future events. So pleased you enjoyed it, it makes all the effort worthwhile.
