THE ROC England

Lakeside, Ulverston, Cumbria

YMCA Lakeside, Lakeside, Ulverston, UK

Sat 25th September 2021

Organiser's Description

Following the huge success of THE ROC Wales, this new format endurance triathlon now also takes on England’s highest mountain - Scafell Pike. Taking THE ROC into the Lake District, this is an opportunity to test your resolve and focus in one of the most inspiring locations in Europe. From the swim in Windermere, the bike past the iconic Coniston Water, and a run to the summit of England’s highest mountain and back, this is an event you will thrive on if you love tough rewarding challenges.

Starting on the compelling Lakeside shoreline, THE ROC England starts with a 1.5km swim in the captivating waters of Windermere, before heading off on a 45.5km bike route full of dramatic, exhilarating sections and plenty of hills, reaching the foot of the Langdale Pikes. The race then heads off on foot via Mickledon up England’s highest and most prominent mountain, with over 3,000 feet of formidable assent to the summit of Scafell Pike, and a 17.5km total round route up and down. The race continues on bike back to Lakeside, ending with a 1km trail run through the forest and back round to see you home in style over the finish line.
