Awesome venue, exciting course. Back to Badminton we go for our Tough Mudder South West 5k. Release your inner child in the mud, help your friends take on challenges and then party into the evening in Mudder Village.

5 Kilometres, 13 Obstacles. Prepare for a day of filthy obstacle action, with new and updated obstacles that you simply won't be able to face alone.

An the fun certainly isn't over when you cross the finish line. Celebrate and enjoy live music, craft beer, food trucks, fitness challenges, games and more in Mudder Village. (Start times tbc)

By car: The Badminton Estate is situated about 15 miles from Bristol and Bath and can be accessed from the M4 and the M5. Use postcode GL9 1AA for your Satnav.

By train: The nearest station is at Chippenham, with frequent eastbound services to London Paddington, and westbound services to Bristol, Bath, Devon, and South Wales.

Parking will be available. Charges will apply.

Please arrive 1 hour before your start time to ensure you can park, check in, drop your bag, and get to the Warm Up Zone 20 minutes before your start time.

Tough Mudder 5k waves will run from 10:15am to 3:30pm on Sunday.

Age Restrictions

Tough Mudder 5k participants must be at least 13yrs; Tough Mudder Classic participants must be at least 14yrs; Mini Mudder participants must be aged 5-12yrs.

Any participant under the age of 18 taking part in the Tough Mudder 5K or Tough Mudder Classic events will need to be accompanied on course by a chaperone.

What to bring:

  1. A Positive Attitude
  2. ID + your ticket (printed or screenshot)
  3. Trainers
  4. Change of Clothing + Shoes
  5. Sun cream
  6. Plastic Bag (for wet, muddy gear)
  7. Cash for snacks and extra drinks

What to wear:

  1. A good pair of running shoes (that you're not too attached to) with good cushioning, traction, and drainage.
  2. Form-fitting, light weight, breathable gear (always check the weather and adjust accordingly).
  3. Awesome fancy dress (if that's your thing)/


Bag drop: If you don’t plan on travelling home muddy, you’ll probably want to bring a change of clothes. Stop by the bag drop tent to store your belongings while you’re on course. £3 cash or contactless, part proceeds go to our charity partner Help for Heroes.

The course is designed to be difficult and the terrain is at times muddy, slippery and can be potentially dangerous. You will be wet after the first couple of miles. You must be able to swim 50m if you attempt the Walk the Plank obstacle. If you do not feel comfortable about completing an obstacle, do not attempt it - move on to the next.

Running alone? We’ve got your back. In 2020 all events will have designated solo runner waves so you can meet other lone wolves, form a muddy pack and get goal-crushing.
