Organiser's Description
Vittoria UK approached Eventrex as they wanted to host a UK mountain bike event that would appeal to all mountain bikers, regardless of experience, ability or ambition. The event had to be in a stunning location that was easily accessed, had varied terrain and the scope to make one of the best mountain bike courses around, with something to challenge everyone.
For Eventrex and Vittoria it was an easy decision to go for a traditional lapped Cross Country Marathon event, but with a modern twist!
The result will be amazing; an innovative course that is exciting to ride, enables close battles throughout the field, is also engaging for spectators and is also laid out in a way that is easy for support crews and race referees to get to do their job.
The MTB course will be laid out as a figure of 8 that will pass through the arena area twice per lap, and features a purpose built bridge in the centre of the race village that riders will thunder over while other MTB racers will be zooming underneath. This will be great fun for riders and supporters alike as well as offering more access to technical support.
On either side of the bridge will be a mixture of thrilling singletrack, woodland trails, heathland crossings, gravel tracks and stunning meadow paths. All totalling up to be a grin inducing 18km lap!

Cancellation Policy
A full refund will be offered on a pre-entry up to 8 weeks before race day. Cancellation requests received between 8 and 4 weeks before the event will receive a refund of 50% of the entry value. Refunds requests within the final 4 weeks before the event will be at the organisers discretion.
Pairs Racing
If you fancy a bit of fast fun you can team up with a partner and enter the 4 Lap Pairs category.
It’s a great way to enjoy the course, soak up some atmosphere, have some banter with other Pairs and get some rest in as you alternate laps with your buddy!
Course Details
If you’ve been lucky enough to ride at Pippingford Park before you’ll want to know if the long decent from the top of the venue to the bottom of the valley is in…of course it is. It’s a thrill a minute descent with fast sweeping berms small jumps and drops (that are all roll-able) and fun twisting sections.
While this venue is renowned in mountain biking circles for it’s fun woodland single track just mentioning that doesn’t do the course justice. From trails that ebb and flow across stunning open heathland that is only accessible on long lap events to a great fun gully trail that follows the boundary of the venue, even the climbs are fun!
When it has all got a bit much after a big effort and your eyes are spinning a bit just take a breather and enjoy the amazing views across the Ashdown Forest
