Organiser's Description

The Watersons HALE 10K is set to take place on Sunday 18th February 2024 with 1,500 runners taking to the closed roads for this much anticipated 3rd year of the race.

The course is superb, starting in Hale and leading through the center of the thriving village before heading out to Ashley, along the picturesque country lanes, and finishing in the grounds of the magnificent Ashley Hall.

There is also the ASHLEY 3K race too in the grounds of Ashley Hall for the younger runners or those who prefer a shorter distance, an hour before the 10K.

The course was lovely, but you can’t get there on public transport and so we ended up sat for 45 mins in a queue for the car park crawling along.
Thank you for your feedback. We did experience some traffic flow issues due to the heavy rain overnight but we will ensure this is resolved for next year.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the run itself very much, but the time before the start was very stressful. Parking and toilet facilities were problematic. It took me an hour from joining the queue for the car park to get to the race start. More matting was needed on the field as cars were getting stuck and 6 loos at the race start and end locations were not enough.
Thank you for your feedback. We take all comments on board and will be working hard to improve operations for next year to resolve the issues. There were 8 loos at Ashley Hall and 12 at the 10K start line, but we will be increasing this for next year.
