Organiser's Description

**Read our race nformation on our race manual**

The first three miles is mainly uphill following the river to Shipley Bridge with one or two brief descents to give you some respite. There is then a tarmac section (though still slightly uphill) before you get out onto Dartmoor, turning right at the Avon Dam and crossing below the Abbott’s Way and heading south east, and emerging near the boundary fence which takes you south, close to the head of the Harbourne exiting the moor near Dockwell farm. Blizzards, nearly waist deep bogs – you’ll find them all in this section of the course. The route then heads back via the infamously muddy Brent Hill and Lydia Bridge.

**We have made a tiny adjustment to the route to avoid an overused section of the Abbotts Way, to satisfy the landowners**

This is a tough race and not for the faint-hearted.
