Wings for Life has a single mission: to find a cure for spinal cord injury. Over 100,000 participants will start the Run at exactly the same time in locations worldwide, or as selfie using their smartphone, day or night, Spring or Autumn, and everyone will be running for those who can’t. Runners, wheelchair competitors, beginners, elite athletes, will race side by side to stay ahead of the Catcher Car, chasing them from behind. Catcher Cars will set off 30 minutes after the runners start and steadily increase their speed, precisely synced across the globe, until the last participants have been caught. Whether you outlast the Catcher Car for 5 hours, or a half hour, for 100km or 1km, your participation will help researchers move in the right direction, to one day make spinal cord injury curable. It’s a race result everyone can be proud of.
