Organiser's Description

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY RUN
In the UK, more than 8 million people are diagnosed with anxiety and 1 in 6 adults are suffering with some type of depression. People find themselves struggling with stress, work and relationship issues, amongst other issues, causing people to be reliant on medication and counselling services. Whilst these can be extremely helpful for people with mental health disorders, unfortunately depression is responsible for over 850,000 deaths worldwide.

10th of October is World Mental Health Day. We’re arranging a very special virtual race to, not only spread awareness, but to also raise money for charities who help support people and their families going through anxiety and depression. This is why we are donating 20% off all entry fees to mental health charities to help them with the incredible work they do.
