Yorkshireman Tri

Skelton on Ure, Ripon, North Yorkshire

Organiser's Description

After 2 years in the planning, the Freebird team launches the first ever long distance triathlon in Yorkshire. Set within the stunning grounds of Newby Hall, one of Yorkshire’s finest stately homes, with fabulous countryside, an unsurpassed popularity for cycling, and the amazing support of the Yorkshire folk, we believe this event is set to become one of the UK’s iconic 'must do' events.

Newby Hall, in Skelton on Ure, North Yorkshire, provides a stunning backdrop for a swim in the gently flowing River Ure; the undulating bike course enters the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, taking in some of the roads that are used on the now famous Tour de Yorkshire, and others that will feature in the elite road race cycling World championships which are set to visit the county in 2019; finally, a fantastic flat run in and around the grounds of Newby Hall, and your moment of glory as you are cheered home to a spectacular red carpet finish. Yorkshireman Half option.

Distances

3.8 km Swim, 180 km Bike and 42.2 km Run
