Both races have one of the most incredible start lines in the country - a completely closed road Menai Suspension Bridge. Flanked by breathtaking views of North Wales' Snowdonia National Park and the Menai Straits, the sheer beauty and uniqueness of this event is ultimately what draws people from all over the UK to Anglesey to take part, year after year.
The Jones o Gymru Half Marathon and 10k are perfect for all abilities with hundreds of first-timers, fundraisers and seasoned runners lining up together at the start. Providing the perfect mid-point for any marathon preparation, this beautiful undulating course with stunning scenery is perfect for an early-season Personal Best.
Also included in this great event is the Dragons Dash Kids 1 mile race, also getting to start on North Wales' iconic Menai Suspension Bridge. For kids as young as 5 there really is something for everyone!

HALF MARATHON
Fast running flanked by breathtaking views of North Wales' Snowdonia National Park and the Menai Straits it's no wonder that this race has become a firm favourite for so many and earned the title of the UK's most beautiful Half Marathon. The race has one of the most incredible and iconic start lines in the country - a completely closed road Menai Suspension Bridge.
ROUTE
The Anglesey Half Marathon starts on the iconic Menai Suspension Bridge before flowing downhill through Menai Bridge town centre and along the winding closed roads to Beaumaris. Pass the famous and near perfect Beaumaris Castle then head up towards Llanfaes and complete a small loop before returning the way you came, taking in the breathtaking views of Snowdonia, to finish in Menai Bridge. This partially closed road course is a stunning showcase of some of North Wales' most beautiful scenery.
RACE INFO
You must be at least 17 years old to take part in this race.
All those who enter a fortnight before the event date will receive their bib (race number) through the post. If you’re one of these people, there is no need to register in person before the event. Your Final Instructions will be emailed to you 10 days before the event, and they will also be available on the website.
If you have entered within a fortnight of the event start date, your bib (race number) will need to be collected on the morning of the race. Bib collection will open 1 hour prior to your race start and can be found near the start line at the Antelope Inn (LL57 2HZ) car park*, on the Bangor side of the bridge. You will be able to find the Final Instructions on the website 10 days prior to the race.
*There will be an information desk in this location for any inquiries.
The half marathon usually starts at 09:00 though this is subject to change. The race start time will be confirmed in your Final Instructions which are available to view on the website 10 days prior to the race. The race starts on the Bangor side of the Menai Suspension Bridge, LL57 2HZ.
In the interest of athlete safety and the safety of our volunteers on the course there will be strict cut off times in place. A confirmation of specific cut off times will be detailed in your Final Instructions which will be available on the website 10 days prior to the race.
Runners arriving at Gallows Point (approx. mile 10) more than 2 ½ hours after the race start time will not be permitted to continue in the race. There will be a shuttle vehicle available to collect those who have not made the cut-off.
If you are still taking part in the race when the road re-opens, you will be asked to move to the pavement for your own safety.
Finish line timing will finish at 13:00.
We hold a prize-giving ceremony after the race, approximate timings will be detailed in the Final Instructions however it is a good idea to listen out for any updates that come in over the tannoy. Sometimes the ceremony may be delayed and we wouldn't want you to miss out. We don't send out prizes after the event, so make sure you attend the ceremony and receive your big Welsh cheer!

Starting on a closed Menai Suspension Bridge and flowing downhill through Menai Bridge town centre then along the winding closed road that leads to Beaumaris where you find your turn around point.
