Join us at the ATW Grafham Triathlon on Sunday 15th September 2024, organised by ATW, the largest triathlon organiser in the UK! The Grafham Tri Standard is included in the 2024 Eastern Region Series.
Whether you are an experienced athlete looking for a fast race, or a novice competitor looking for a safe and friendly venue for your first open water multisport event, Grafham Water is ideal. We guarantee you’ll enjoy this fantastic venue that has been used for award-winning triathlons, national championships and GB qualifier races.
We have two distances for you to tackle:
Standard Distance Triathlon - swim 1500m, cycle 38km, run 10km
Sprint Distance Triathlon - swim 750m, cycle 17km, run 5km
The swim takes place in the beautiful clean waters of the Grafham Water reservoir, with laps of a 750m loop. The Sprint race completes one lap, while the Standard completes two.
The bike is a flat out and back bike course that takes you through some of the most scenic villages in the area. The Sprint distance turns in the village of Perry, while the Standard turns in the town of StNeots.
The run uses laps of a 5k route around the natural footpaths of Grafham water. The flat route heads out and back across the iconic dam wall before looping past the finish and transition area where you’ll receive great support each lap. The Sprint will head in to the finish after one lap, while the Standard completes two laps.
Anyone who doesn't want to take part in the run, there is a standard distance Aquabike (swim-bike) option and for those who would like to compete as a team, there is a standard distance relay option, with or 2 or 3 individuals sharing the disciplines between them.

A brilliant event, really well organised with fantastic marshalls, the good weather helped, it was only my second triathlon and I'd definitely recommend it for all abilities.

A great event. It was my first triathlon so I really appreciated the helpful instruction of the team. It was also a great flat venue for the bike and run so a good one for entry level participants. The atmosphere was kept light and fun as well.
