Get ready for the PWR Endure Backyard Ultra Marathon, the biggest ultra marathon in the Southwest! Taking place over an exhilarating 30-hour period from Saturday, May 23, 2026, to Sunday, May 24, 2026, this thrilling event will unfold at the historic grounds of Tockington Manor in Bristol, Avon. Featuring a unique format, runners will tackle a challenging 4.167-mile loop every hour on the hour, with a total distance of 125 miles (201 km) up for grabs. The last person standing will be crowned the ultimate champion, while remaining athletes will compete in a dramatic 'Shot Gun Finish' to determine the top three winners.
PWR Endure invites runners of all levels, from novices to seasoned athletes, to join in this extraordinary experience. With opportunities to achieve distance milestones such as a Half Marathon, Marathon, or even up to a 200k Ultra, there's truly something for everyone! PWR Endure are hosting a Backyard Ultra Marathon at Historical grounds of Tockington Manor in South Gloucestershire.
The Ultra consists of a 4.167 mile loop which must be completed every hour, on the hour. If you fail to complete the loop within the hour, you DNF.
This Backyard Ultra has a slight twist...
The total duration in time and distance for the event will be 30 hours (30 loops) which will cover a total distance of 125mi/201km with the Last person standing victorious.
Any remaining runners after the 30 loop deadline will compete in a 'Shot Gun Finish' to conclude the event.
This will consist of the remaining athletes lining up one last time, racing to complete the final loop first to be crowned victorious with a prize pool for the top 3 participants.
What you need to bring...
Runners will need to provide their own tent, gazebo, marquee or shelter for the event as well as seating facilities and other amenities. There is a large base camp near the start/finish line with welfare/toilet facilities. Bigger contingents/groups from Run Clubs/Gyms etc will be allowed to bring larger Marquees/shelters to house their athletes for the duration of their event.
Runners are expected to bring their own supplements, food supplies and liquids for the event (Water stations will be provided).
Runners will cooperate with the 'Leave No Trace' policy for waste, rubbish and litter to ensure we are Environmentally friendly.
Runners are advised to car share with friends/contingents if possible to reduce our Carbon Footprint for the event and better manage car parking.
All runners/participants will receive a Race Day Pack including bibs, pins, number and merch.

There will be music, entertainment, spectators, volunteers, media teams, medical and support staff for the duration of the event.
This event is an amazing opportunity for runners to hit distance milestones in a unique format of racing. Whether than be a Half Marathon, Marathon, 50k Ultra, 50mile Ultra, 100k Ultra, 100mile Ultra or 200k Ultra. There really is something for everyone from novices to elites.
Our Charity for this event is Muscular Dystrophy UK with a percentage of all proceeds going to the Charity.
