The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful marathons in the world, following a spectacular point to point route alongside Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland. No wonder it’s on the bucket list of so many runners around the world.

And if marathons aren’t your thing, there’s also the Baxters River Ness 10K and 5K, both races follow a flat route alongside the river in Inverness and are perfect for PB chasers and first timers alike, plus the 10K Corporate Challenge for teams of 4-6 from the same workplace and a Wee Nessie kids' race.

The area is steeped in history, home to castles, misty mountains and, of course, the Loch Ness Monster. With a choice of race distances and festival atmosphere, including an Expo, Runners Cafe, live music, street food and kids activities, the Festival of Running has something for everyone.
