Great race, lovely route through the Winchester countryside. Well marshalled and organised. Only did the smallest of the four routes but really enjoyed it.

Ok 5 am is early, but well worth the effort. Arrived in Winchester easy parking and access to the event The briefing was fine and off we went 19 miles of superb countryside the views were magnificent. Sorry, the race was ??? Undulating the competition? Friendly and the staged stops full of goodies After the last stop my wife after about 250 metres ran back and refilled with chocolate ( she is not a morning person) A run rather than a race well worth putting in your calendar for next year It’s already in ours. Only slight down was the rain towards the end of the marathon / ultra but we were already in town having a b??? Big thank you to the volunteers and organisers for a well organised event

My second year at this event, I came back because I loved the route and the event vibe. Great scenery, some challenging ascent, very friendly organisers and Marshals, allied to well stocked and good variety at the feed stops, all helps the tough sections become enjoyable. I would thoroughly reccomend this event, and The Big Feat event in the New Forest later in the year.

Really fun event, well briefed before race day and on the day, generous cut off times. A very friendly atmosphere, good aid stations, well marshalled road crossings, and good signage with the gpsx available beforehand. Bag drop was smooth, and pizza was sold at the end! Only a couple of small niggles - they could have done with a couple of portaloos at the start to supplement the toilets in the clubhouse, there were a couple of long straight stretches that had footpaths branching off where an extra sign or two for reassurance would have been nice, and in my opinion the second aid station was too late in the 19mile course. But overall an excellent day and I hope to run it again.
