Brechfa Trail Races

The route is all on forestry trails, whcih makes for a fast though hilly course.

A professionally run event with full medical support, aid stations and free photographs. The route is fully signed and our friendly marshals will be at regular intervals to provide support and, of course, aid station snacks and water. And did we mention the home made soup at the end!

Every finisher will receive a 'finishers medal'. There will also be prizes for the

Marathon race start: 9.00

There will be a kit check at registration – no kit, no entry.

There are toilets at the event venue.

There will be snacks and water at the aid stations.

The kit below is compulsory and you will be checked and prevented from running if you do not have the correct kit. This is the standard kit list you'll find for most trail races so we hope that it's things that you either have already, or will get plenty of use out of. We'd strongly recommend wearing appropriate trail shoes for these events.

For races 10 miles and under
No kit necessary unless otherwise specified.

For races over 10 miles up to, and including, half marathons between 1 May and 31 October
Suitable sized pack / bag to carry kit
Container for at least 500ml of fluid
Thermal/wicking long sleeve top (this may be worn)
Space blanket
Waterproof jacket with taped seams
First aid kit, including a minimum of plasters, sterile dressing and bandages
Mobile phone
Hat or buff

At least 500 calories of food for emergencies only (i.e. must be with you at the end)

The cut off for all races is 17:00
