Join us for the vibrant Little Lifts Charity 10km, 20km & 30km Trail Run on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in the picturesque setting of Norwich, Norfolk! Organized by Little Lifts, this exciting event kicks off at 10 AM, with participants encouraged to arrive from 8 AM to soak in the beautiful rural trails of North Norfolk. This is the second year running for this inspiring trail run, designed not only for fitness enthusiasts but also for those looking to make a difference.

By participating, you’ll be helping to support individuals battling breast cancer, as Little Lifts provides thoughtfully curated Boxes filled with essential emotional and practical support throughout chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments. Choose your challenge with race distances of 10km, 20km, or 30km, and take pride in knowing that your efforts contribute to a noble cause. This year, participants can also benefit from exclusive charity spots and limited edition tees! A heartfelt thank you goes out to our sponsors, Rogers & Norton, and Norfolk Cordial, along with Mr. and Mrs. Courtauld of Barningham Estate and other generous local landowners for their support. Organiser's Description

Join us for the return of our Little Lifts Trail Running Event on Saturday 26th April 2025, start time 10am and arrivals from 8am. We are so excited to be hosting this amazing event for the second year running on some of the most beautiful rural trails in North Norfolk.

Take on the Trail Run for Little Lifts and help us support more people with breast cancer.

Little Lifts provides the most thoughtfully curated Boxes filled with products to help with emotional and practical support, through chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment for breast cancer. Why not raise funds to help us on our mission to provide everyone diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK with a Box?

Course Details

The race begins and ends within the normally private Barningham Estate, and all three courses will traverse across beautiful North Norfolk countryside. The courses are predominantly off-road on grass, farm track, gravel track and private road. Runners will have to cross over a number of quiet country lanes and there are some short stretches along these quiet roads, but these have been kept to an absolute minimum.

The courses are beautifully varied in their terrain. All routes are undulating with some short inclines and declines, narrow sections, woodland tracks and paths across wide open countryside. All three routes share parts of the course, but will also split and meet up along the way. The entire course will be signposted and where possible marshals will be positioned to help direct runners. However, runners will be expected to stay focussed and look out for the markers along the route. A GPX File and map of the run route will be shared before the event.

By car, postcode NR11 7HY
Nearest Train Stations: Sheringham (6 miles) or Cromer (8 miles)
Nearest Airport: Norwich (16 miles)

Parking

Ample free car parking within the grounds of Barningham Estate

Location

Barningham Hall in situated in Matlaske, a tiny little village in North Norfolk. 30mins drive from Norwich Airport and in between Holt and Aylsham

race rules

Minimum age is 15 on the day of the race for the 10km, and 17 on the day of the race for the 20k and 30k.

Runners to write their name, any medical conditions, emergency contact name and contact number on reverse of their race number.

Numbers must be visible whilst racing – please provide your own safety pins to secure the race number to your clothing.

No pets allowed. There will be sheep in the parkland and any dog owner who brings their dog will be asked to put them immediately back in their car so please leave your pets at home.

Regrettably, the courses are not suitable for wheelchairs or prams.

Although the race route crosses and follows quiet roads for some short sections, they are NOT CLOSED from traffic and are narrow.

Please follow Marshal’s directions at all times and keep to the left!

Do not litter the course. Bins will be provided at the start/finish and at water stations.

All runners must stay on the marked course. Do not run across crops and farmland unless instructed or signed to do so.

For safety reasons we ask runners not to run with headphones.

Parts of the course are remote. We advise all runners to run with a phone or other form of communication in case of emergency. If you have not already done so, please download the what.three.words app and familiarise yourself with how it works. A GPX File and map of the run route will be shared before the event.

Entries are non-refundable. If you are unable to run on the day, transfers are available until midnight on 12/04/25, 14 days before the race. After this date, PLEASE DO NOT pass your race number to someone else. If you dont have anyone to take your place, please let us know and we can offer to our waiting list.
