We are excited to announce the return of the Newcastle Half Marathon and 10k, starting and finishing at the Newcastle Falcons Rugby Union home ground – Kingston Park!
These ROAD CLOSED courses take in the beautiful countryside lanes around Newcastle Airport and Dinnington.
In Partnership with Newcastle Frontrunners- Newcastle’s biggest inclusive running club which welcomes all sections of the community, with an emphasis on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer + (LGBTQ+) communities and their allies. NRF will be using the event as part of their Pride Month awareness campaign to complement their other events in July.
**There is a 3 hour cut off due to road closures**

Route and elevation
Each mile is accurately marked out with distance flags and we have plenty of helpers to keep you on track and to encourage you on your way to the finish.
This race will have pacers to help you along your way!
There will be water provided at the 5k point of the race in the 10k, and at 3mi, 6mi & 9mi in the Half Marathon along with water at the finish. There will also be snacks & your medal waiting for you at the finish
Reviews
Was a decent course and well marshalled and getting to and from the event was very easy, the organisation on road closures and as I mentioned marshalls were first class. However I felt there should have been some energy gels for runners or even electrolytes. Only 3 water stops wasn't the best especially on a muggy day when doing 13.1 miles.

Thank you to the very supportive marshals and volunteers throughout the course! I loved the half marathon and the course - very happy to have done it! A bit disappointed that nuun goodies that were promised at the finish were not given.
