Christmas Lights in the City 10k Tour - Walk-run intervals

Away from the crowds of Mayfair and the West End, your Christmas-loving guide will take you on a magical journey through the old City of London and Borough at its festive best.

From the jaw-dropping tree of Leadenhall Market, to the magical lights displays along the River Thames and a tribute to the creator of the Christmas cracker, this tour is bound to get you in the Christmas spirit this year.

This is a running tour, not a race. We run at the pace of the gentlest runner among us and we don't leave anyone behind. That said, please make sure that you're able to run 10k at the pace advertised (with breathers) for the enjoyment of the other runners.

This brand new tour for 2023 is a glistening alternative to our Classic Christmas lights run.

Festively fast
Sub 10 minute miles.
You usually run 10k in under 1 hour

Merrily Medium
10-12 minute miles.
You usually run 10k between 1hr and 1hr 15 mins.
You usually run 5k between 31 and 37 mins

Gentle jingle
12-13 minute miles.
You usually run 5k between 37 mins and 40 mins
You usually run 10k between 1 hr 15 mins and 1 hr 20 mins

Walk/run intervals
"jeffing" - mixing up short intervals of gentle jogging with walking. We'll aim for 1 minute of running: 30 seconds of walking but will adapt to the needs of the group

These paces are not designed as cut-offs but to give you peace of mind when you sign up.

If you're on the borderline of groups, we recommend joining the faster one.
