Organiser's Description
The Dartmoor Marathon starts by winding along the picturesque East Okement River, ascending via flowing trails onto the high moorland, with some open hillside descents where the space and freedom of one of Englands last wildernesses will be experienced by all who run it! The route covers some of the highest ground in the South of England, and takes in the highest points of northern Dartmoor in a race unlike any other. A 26.5 mile scenic, varied and challenging route, with1600m+ total ascent.
