Dummer Down Trail Races

Sat 15th April 2023

A rustic metal sign reads "Dummer Down Farm" in front of a lush landscape. The foreground is filled with blooming yellow daffodils, and a tree-lined path and wooden fence extend into the distance under a clear sky. A winding dirt path stretches through a vibrant green meadow under a clear blue sky with scattered white clouds. Trees and bushes line the path on the left, while more trees are visible in the distance to the right. The scene exudes tranquility and natural beauty. Dummer Down Trail Races event image Two women in running gear, one in a pink jacket and the other in a yellow shirt, joyfully raise their arms as they run on a grassy trail. Behind them, other runners follow. Trees and shrubs line the trail, and the atmosphere is energetic and cheerful. A grassy path shaded by a row of tall trees on the left, stretching into the distance. The right side of the path is bordered by open fields with dry grass, under a blue sky with a few wispy clouds. The scene is serene and inviting. A group of runners in colorful athletic gear participating in a race on a wooded trail. Some wear bib numbers and hydration packs. They are surrounded by lush greenery, with a clear, sunny sky above. The atmosphere appears energetic and focused. A man with a race bib and medal smiles by a finish line arch after completing a race. Other participants and event staff are visible in the background. The scene takes place outdoors on a sunny day. Two black vertical flags with orange and white text reading "Blended Trails" and "Trail Running Events" are standing in a grassy area with bushes and trees in the background. The sky is clear, and the sun is illuminating the flags and landscape. Two men standing under a black canopy tent at an outdoor event. The man on the left wears an orange shirt with a race number (126) and smiles. The man on the right wears glasses and a blue shirt, also smiling. Other participants and fields are visible in the background. Three runners are participating in a race along a grassy trail lined with trees. The runner on the left (wearing a black shirt with the number 25) and the runner in the middle (also in black) are in stride, while the runner on the right (in a yellow shirt) follows closely behind. A person wearing a winter hat with a pom-pom, glasses, and a safety vest is pointing towards something while partially obscured by branches and foliage. They appear to be near a vehicle and are gesturing intently. The background shows a clear, sunny sky. Runners are crossing the finish line of a race, passing under a large black inflatable arch with "FINISH" written on it. Spectators and event staff, some in orange vests, are present along the sides, and the background shows a path lined with greenery.

Awesome event. Had a good vibe to the whole thing, and the volunteers and organisers were friendly. The route was tough and challenging, but you feel good for completing it. Eco-medal looks good too.

Great trail run. Route is a mixture of ups, downs, mud, stones (compacted so it a hazard, and road. Others have said it’s not good (10km) for your first trail run but I disagree there, I think it is a good one to start on as it has a but if everything.

Absolutely enjoyable (but also punishing) 10k. Ran like clockwork, everyone was friendly. No issues. Timings were instant, volunteers did a good job.
