5k - The Dell. This is a cracking route, as it's perfect for beginners, or those looking to race for a time. The first half of the route is on wide tracks or to the side of rural land, the second half narrows to covered winding trails in places towards the end on single track trail.

10k - The Middlings. The route starts on the same trail as the 5k and branches off at the first 1k heading onto superb paths including a section of the Wayfarers Walk with reaching views. Half way into the route there's a water station, before a return on a mix of trails, wide stoney undulating tracks and then into woodland with winding single track downhill into the finish.

FAQs

  • Where is Dummer Down Farm?

The farm is in the sleepy village of Dummer, Hampshire, RG25 2AR. Easily accessed from the A303, and M3.

  • What are the routes?

Both are 100% trails made up of tracks, gravel and pathways with plenty of open space and the occasional canopy-covered paths.

  • Are there any sustainability efforts with the event?

We’re committed to the Jog-on campaign to reduce the number of unloved running shoes going to landfills. Please bring your old shoes to our event (and all our future events), so we can ensure they are recycled responsibly.

  • What should I bring?

We recommend trail shoes for both the 5k and 10k. Road shoes will most likely be suitable for the 5k if the weather is dry in the lead-up to the event. Please keep a look out for our race updates via our social pages and Trail Mail (join Blended Trails free to receive our Trail Mail). Please bring a water bottle, soft flask or collapsable cup to the event. Although there will be plenty of water we won’t be supplying drinks cups as we are working hard to minimise the impact on the environment.

  • Is there a cut off time?

The 5k has no cut-off time, so it's perfect for walkers too. Our 10k has a generous 2-hour cut-off.

  • Is there parking?

Yes, there is event parking which will be £5 per vehicle. Please do car share where you can, we’re very keen to reduce the impact of our events on the environment. Car sharing can significantly reduce our individual carbon footprint. Payment will be taken at the gate, please pay with cash.

Itinerary

The venue will be open from 8am, race registration opens at 8.30am with briefing for both races at 9.45am.

On arrival at the venue please follow race signage to the parking. When parked follow signs to the Race HQ where you’ll see some Blended Trails flags, a check in desk and plenty of helpful folk and friendly faces. All you’ll need to register and collect your race number is your email with confirmation of race entry.

Awesome event. Had a good vibe to the whole thing, and the volunteers and organisers were friendly. The route was tough and challenging, but you feel good for completing it. Eco-medal looks good too.

Great trail run. Route is a mixture of ups, downs, mud, stones (compacted so it a hazard, and road. Others have said it’s not good (10km) for your first trail run but I disagree there, I think it is a good one to start on as it has a but if everything.

Absolutely enjoyable (but also punishing) 10k. Ran like clockwork, everyone was friendly. No issues. Timings were instant, volunteers did a good job.
