Starting from the vibrant Windsor Racecourse basecamp, participants will embark on looped routes that showcase stunning views of Windsor Castle, traverse the iconic Runnymede, and meander along the picturesque Thames Path through the beautiful surrounding countryside. With full support provided throughout the event and a festive celebration awaiting you at the finish line, the Easter 50 Ultra Challenge is the perfect way to kick off the Ultra Challenge® season and get in shape for the summer ahead. Take on a 50 km Ultra, a historic 25 km, or a sharp 10 km challenge – and make it an active Easter! From our Windsor Racecourse basecamp 2000 adventurers will head out on looped routes through the Great Park with fantastic views of the Castle, on to Runnymede, along the Thames Path, and takes in some wonderful surrounding countryside. You’ll get full support all the way, and a celebration finish back at basecamp. It’s a great way to kick off the Ultra Challenge® season, and start to get in shape for summer.
From Windsor the ‘figure of 8’ route follows The Thames Path with fantastic views of the riverside & surrounding countryside, passing Eton College, and old Windsor before a snacks & drink stop at Runnymede. You follow ‘The Great Walk’ towards Windsor Castle with epic views as you get close. A lunch stop back at basecamp, before the 2nd 25 km loop – with more of the Thames Path, a final rest stop at Dorney Court, then back to the Racecourse where a loud cheer & celebration await.
