Freedom Run 2.0 - Fun Run, 5k, 10k & Half Marathon

Running at Battersea Park, one lap is roughly 2.5km.
The team of Freedom Run 2.0 will strive to make this race more than just a race, but more an event which will gather like-minded individuals who care about the war and its victims. Despite the cause, we think that making the event as friendly and warm as possible is our key aim. We plan to have modern Ukrainian live music on the day, with light food and other refreshments for those running and supporting.

Distribution of the start packages to the participants will be held next to the Bandstand at Battersea Park prior to the race. Runs for all distances will commence at the same time, with the exception of a 1.5km race (for kids) and 2.5km (for those willing to walk).

07:00 – 12:30 – Luggage storage available
08:30 – Warm-up for adults
08:50 – Opening of the starting block for the courses Half-marathon 21.0975km, 10km, 5km, 2.5km (for walking)
09:00 – Start Freedom Run Half-marathon 21.0975km, 10km, 5km
09:30 – Start 1.5km for kids
11:30-12:30 – Finish of the Freedom Run
13:00 – Closing of the Freedom Run

You need to come to the Bandstand at Battersea Park at least 1 hour before the race to have enough time to register, pick up your starting pack, leave your belongings in the storage, find your starting block and warm up.

14 years of age on the event day to take part in the 5k.
15 years of age on the event day to take part in the 10k.
16 years of age on the event day to take part in a Half Marathon.

Humanitarian (via Razom Foundation)
With the raised funds, Razom will renovate a school bomb shelter into a classroom or support individuals who had traumatic experience, or support a kids center in an affected area, or provide food essentials in the warzone.

Military (via Dignitas Fund)
Help Dignitas raise for crucial battlefield essentials such as drone Mavic 3 (eyes, swift supply delivery, evacuation for hard to reach areas), antennas (for safety of a drone operator) and mobile showers to provide basic hygiene to out defenders.

Pickup Vehicle £~3.5k for the Unit (via Ptashky Foundation)
Tangible and precise cause. Purchasing a pickup vehicle for a unit of defenders - mortar platoon, mortar battery of the 4th BTG, brigade “Hurricane”.

Prosthetics Medical Center (via Superhumans)
10,000+ Ukrainians need complex operations or prosthetics now. The state cannot address all of the needs adequately. Superhumans Center is building a state-of-the-art medical center for war heroes and civilians in Lviv, Ukraine.

I am hesitant to donate to the war financing. Is there another way I could help?
Freedom Run is aimed at raising funds to save lives, rather than put any human being at risk. Each of our supporters / runners is able to select which specific cause he / she wants to donate to. Out of the 4 provided causes, with the raised funds our partner in the Military segment will purchase drones, mobile showers for the defenders. As you can see, these are aimed at saving lives, making lives of the defenders easier, rather than taking the lives away. Aside from Military donations, humanitarian, medical charities are available to donate to. These charities are aimed at those affected by the Russian aggression.

How will my donation be used? I do not want to fund weapons purchases.
Neither of our partner charities funds purchases of lethal equipment. Razom Foundation raises donations to respond to the humanitarian crisis by addressing urgent food and medical needs of those affected. Dignitas focuses on defense strategies that are aimed at reducing life-threatening risks for the Ukrainian defenders. Ptashky Foundation is fundraising for a pickup vehicle for a particular brigade. Superhumans is fundraising to help those whose physical life beings (defenders, predominantly) have been harmed as a result of the full-scale invasion.
