Gower Peninsula Ultra Challenge

The Gower Peninsula is the original UK Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – and an amazing setting for a new Ultra Challenge. Penrice Castle, dating back to Norman times, is our basecamp hub – with plenty of parking and easily accessible from Swansea. It’s a ‘figure of 8’ route for the Full 100km challenge – made up of 50 km west & 50km east loops which take in the best of the stunning landscape – from golden beaches & dramatic cliffs to saltmarsh & sand dunes, with ancient woodlands inland – and a wide diversity of wildlife. With a 75 km option, two fabulous 50km ‘Half’ challenges, a Marathon option if you’re up for a classic distance, 25km & 10km basecamp loop options also – and camping across the weekend for you & your supporters, with a bar & entertainment – it will be a summer highlight not to be missed!

Endurance events for a wide range of fitness & ages and the UK’s #1 series of treks & tril runs. Choose your Challenge – do it at your pace, and there’re 17 events in the Series. Our support enables you to go further, whilst enjoying the great outdoors & camaraderie. There’re marquee rest stops, lots of food & drink, medical & massage teams, with a fully signed route to guide you. A big finish-line celebration awaits with an amazing sense of achievement, and once the aches subside you’ll feel energised, and up for more of life’s real challenges!
