Really well organised event, marshals, for the most part, were enthusiastic, the crowd near the event arena were super supportive which was lovely. The 1/2 mara course is about a 4.5km out and back first then a full loop around the lake. It was a scorching hot day but a really enjoyable race nonetheless, met some lovely people on the course (which was very hilly in some places but not unmanageable), I was paced by some people and I helped pace others so it was a really nice atmosphere to be a part of. I'd defo recommend this race to others even if you only give the 10k a try, the medal is in a wooden cut out style and it's a really scenic route and there's a cafe and proper toilets available to use too! Win win really! :)

Good atmosphere. Good, classy. P.A. ( some are too loud and unnecessary). Plenty of water stops. A Gel stop , nice touch and a much needed water spray! :) Parking not bad. £4.50 i think. Great scenery. Trail run. Hilly. Only downside, no distance reminders. An easy addition. Great day.

Had a lovely morning running the Half Marathon. It was well organised and the marshals were friendly. The route itself was a bit tough in some places but enjoyable. Good sized carpark to park up which you pay on exit. I would of given 5 stars if the Coffee vendor hadn't gone by the time I finished the run, I was really looking forward to a coffee at the end.

Awesome event, excellent organisation, helpful and friendly marshals Stunning scenery, a challenging course but very enjoyable The only downside was the icey conditions in a few places early into the run ( but it is early February) I definitely will be returning

Great race - well organised and friendly. Plenty of places to park, good facilities like toilets and cafe. It is undulating but that’s part of the fun! Good water and gels available. Would do again!

Superb event, very welcoming marshals through the half marathon course I can't praise them enough. The course is challenging but very scenic. The start was organised, not chaotic as some had said a massive thumbs to all involved

Great, challenging run. Lots of "undulations"😆 It was a hot day and the organisers added a water station at 7k but the problem for me is that the first was at 5k ish. Several runners commented that another water station was needed much earlier for hydration. This was the first run I'd done in the Uk. Having done most of my running in hotter climates they usually have the first water station at 3k.

A really well run event. The course was challenging in particular with the heat but that added to the sense of achievement when getting to the finish line.. What a lovely place it is. Will definitely do it next year

It's a beautiful route with varied terrain and scenery (no huge hills, which I like). The race was well organised with plenty of staff/marshals on hand. I liked how they handled the heatwave by moving it earlier and I was grateful for the gel sachets at the water stations. The atmosphere was fantastic and everyone was very positive and supportive. I would do this one again, just not in such crazy heat! Thanks everyone for organising.

Great venue, Marshall’s were brilliant and kept us motivated, well organised, given the heat there were plenty of water at the drink stations, I would do this again next year.

This is and was a fantastic race. It was well-organized and staffed by enthusiastic, helpful, and cheery volunteers. Who marshalled the course and water points with a smile, words of encouragement, and always good banter. BUT, beware. This is not an easy course. It can be testing in parts and soul-destroying in the wrong weather conditions. You should also be aware that if you are a slower runner (me, I was close to 3 hours for this course), then the tiny starter village will be being dismantled, the finish line is still there, as well as the encouraging finishing commentary, and there is also still loads of people visiting the site to shout encouragement and finished runners with support, but if you weren't aware you could feel like they are tapping a foot waiting for you to finish. Having said that, I understand their time restraints as the visitors centre is still open to the public, and there are a lot of car park spaces being taken up by the race, so don't bite the hand that feeds. The main question is whether I would do this again...YES

Lovely setting on a sunny morning. Quite an undulating track. Good atmosphere and great to have all the encouragement from Marshalls. Some distance markers would have been nice otherwise pretty perfect.

Carsington is one of the most challenging 10k's I've done as its so hilly. However, that made it feel like an even bigger achievement when I completed it! It's a beautiful place to run and I'll be doing it next year with the aim of beating my time. I Highly recommend it!
