This is a really nice event, well organised and marshalled be prepared for a mixture of terrain underfoot particularly towards the finish. It starts and finishes at the Hampton court palace, the atmosphere is incredible, come rain or shine, it's a wonderful event to bring friends and family along to. Would definitely recommended it for anyone attempting their first half marathon as this course is quite flat and its in a great location along the thames.

Well organised race in a great location. Starts outside Hampton Court Palace and much of the race is by the river. Very good atmosphere and very helpful marshals and other staff/volunteers.

Excellent venue, incredibly well organised with great staff and amazing volunteers/marshals etc. Would prefer more of the route to be on the castle grounds and less on the roads, especially when the roads aren't closed, lots of hopping on and off the pavement. All in, a great day, would recommend and will run again.

Enjoyable Race. Well organised, flat route, great medal and goody bags. Roads aren't closed and a lot of the route isn't actually on Hampton Court grounds but I loved the event and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Well organised race village but the route needs some work. The organisation at the start and finish was fantastic, as was the location. The actual route is quite enjoyable with a lot of it by the river. However, I have 3 issues. First, because roads are not closed and some Marshall’s are obviously not runners, they stick a hand out and yell stop to let a car through when you are feet away - stopping that suddenly is going to cause injury and a couple of time I didn’t stop at risk of being run over. Second, the start is far too narrow, especially as you turn onto the river path. Third, it is mostly road until the last 2 miles when it was wet, boggy trail needing non road shoes. The bling, tee shirt and goody bags were fantastic.

Spring highlight. A fantastic race to start the spring. A flat route along the river, featuring great support teams, a choir and bands playing on the route, beautiful scenery by Hampton Court Palace and even a Henry VIII lookalike!

Very well organised. Super helpful staff, very well organised, excellent communication throughout. Only downside was the actual route- a little too much time on the road, would have been great to have more running in the grounds of Hampton Court!

Best Half Marathon. A fantastically well organised event - clear starters orders from the beautiful courtyard of Hampton Court Palace, plenty of marshals and water stations en route, a choir (!) and bands playing to lift your spirits too! Running into the grounds of Hampton Court Palace was a fantastic feeling at the end, and the event village and after-race experience was second to none. Bravo!
