Join us for the exciting Holdenby House - Hoohaah Trail & Canicross event on Sunday, October 20th, 2024, set against the stunning backdrop of the historic Holdenby Estate in Northampton, West Northamptonshire. Organised by ATW, this exhilarating event offers a unique opportunity to explore the beautiful grounds of a 16th-century palace once frequented by King James I. The traffic-free 5.4 km trail winds through the estate's picturesque landscapes and farmland, finishing through the estate's iconic arches. Participants can choose from multiple race distances, including a 5k, which completes one lap, a 10k covering two laps, and a challenging Half Marathon that spans four laps.
For those eager to include their furry friends, the 5k canicross will kick off 15 minutes prior to the trail run. Additionally, by purchasing the Hoohaah season pass, you gain access to all Hoohaah events throughout the 2024 season, featuring runs in Bedfordshire, the Chilterns, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, and Cambridgeshire. Organiser's Description
The hoohaah Holdenby House Trail & Canicross runs through the grounds of the 2,000 acre Holdenby Estate. The 16th Centrury house in Northamptonshire was a palace to King James I and then a prison to his son King Charles I after his defeat in the Civil War.
Now a family home, the grounds are used for exclusive events and it's gardens are loved by all.
The traffic free, 5.4Km trail, follows trails through the grounds and the surrounding farmland with fantastic views of the country house, finishing through the iconic arches that adorn the grounds.
The 5k will complete one lap of the course, the 10k will complete two laps, while the Half Marathon will complete four laps.
The 5k canicross will start 15 minutes before the trail run.
By purchasing the Hoohaah season pass, you're entitled to attend all of our Hoohaah events! The 2024 season pass includes runs in Bedfordshire, Chilterns, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire. Once you have purchased the hoohaah season pass, you will not need to book before coming to any of the hoohaah events as you will be automatically entered. Instead, just turn up on the day of the event and tell our wonderful registration team what distance you would like to complete. One camping pitch is also included with your season pass at our Thoresby & Chiltern events.
