howies Coastal Trail Run

Sun 26th June 2022

A group of runners participates in a race on a country road. The runners wear various colored athletic gear and numbered bibs. Lush green vegetation flanks the road, and the sky is overcast. The lead runner wears a blue shirt and black shorts, number 165. A woman in athletic gear is running on a coastal trail, with the ocean and cliffs in the background. She is smiling and giving two thumbs up, wearing a yellow and blue tank top, grey shorts, and blue running shoes. It's a cloudy day. Two T-shirts displayed side by side: the left is navy blue, and the right is off-white. Both feature the text "howies' COASTAL TRAIL RUN" in bold light blue letters across the chest. The shirts are the same design but in different colors.

Organiser's Description

GET SET, GO!
Lace up your trainers and join us this summer on The howies Coastal Trail Run! It’s going to be a fun jaunt around the Marloes headland on the stunning Pembrokeshire Coastal Path in west Wales.

10K OR 25K
The howies Coastal Trail Run is open to runners of all abilities, from first-timers and beginners to experts and club runners, all with an emphasis on fun, rather than elbowing one another to gain 0.3 seconds (nobody will be breaking any world records).

To butter you up, included in the fee is a howies Coastal Trail Run t-shirt, made from nice organic cotton. And any long run requires a reward, so there’s a free tea or coffee and a cake for all finishers at the end.

Prizes include a 25kg bag of Trehill Farm potatoes for first place, a 10kg bag for second and 5kg for third, plus spot prizes from howies.

The route will be a rugged loop of undulating singletrack, starting at Runwayskiln, Marloes SA62 3BH, and taking you along grassy trails and the coast path, with rocky sections, river crossings, steps and lots of other fun stuff, including the jaw-dropping beach at Marloes Sands. The 25k route will first take you out across the disused airfield and through Dale, crossing the St Ann’s peninsula, before returning to tackle the same fun and testing route as the 10k
