This inclusive event is designed for participants of all abilities, offering a flexible 'out and back' route where you can choose your own distance, ranging from a fun 5K to a challenging ultra-marathon. With well-maintained hardstanding tracks, you’ll enjoy a beautiful day in nature while pushing your limits.
Every finisher will receive a medal, and with flexible start times between 8 AM and 9:30 AM, you can set off when you're ready to conquer the trail. Plus, 20% of your entry fee goes directly to Forestry England, helping to maintain the beautiful forests and trails we all enjoy. There will be aid stations stocked with delicious snacks and drinks at the start/finish of each lap, ensuring you stay fueled throughout your adventure. Organiser's Description
'Intergalactic' is a trail event suitable for all abilities, set in the stunning Hurn Forest.
The 'out and back' route follows the main forest track, offering participants the opportunity to choose their own distance, from 5K to ultra-marathon. All finishers of one lap or more will receive a medal.
Trail shoes are recommended but not essential as the track is hardstanding and well maintained.
20% of entry costs will go to Forestry England to support maintenance of the nation's forests and trails.
We offer flexible start times between 8am and 9.30am. Just turn up when you're ready to run. All participants to finish by 3pm (maximum 7 hours). Number pick-up is on the day at race registration before you start the event.
We will have an aid and drinks station at the start/finish of each lap, with a selection of savoury and sweet items. There will also be an area to leave your own items to avoid any kit or fuel-ralated anxiety. Please note we do not provide plastic cups; bring your own.
Toilets are available at the cricket club.
Final instructions will be sent out via email before the event with full race day information. Laps are a 5.3km / 3.28 mile, out and back, course.
Please note, this event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules. as per UK Athletics rules, distance restrictions apply to participants ages 20 or under.
