5K run. 5 beers. 5 obstacles. All in Manchester

EXPERIENCE THE CRAZIEST 5K OF YOUR LIFE.

Run (Or Walk) A 3k Or 5k in the beautiful leafy suburbs of Bowden's countryside. After each kilometre we'll have a selection of beers or wines located throughout the run. You will also test your fitness with our inflatable and non-inflatable obstacle course. The Logfall, Tyre Run, Walk The Line and The Shocking Crawler will take you outside your comfort zone.

Course Details

You will start off at Bowdon Rugby Club within your chosen race slot. The terrain is largely flat and open with a few wild field openings, a pathway flanked by trees to provide cover and a small parcel of woodland to dart in and out of. Throughout the 2.5km course so you will have the opportunity to drink a beer or wine every km and in between complete a set of obstacles. After 2.5km you decide if you feel brave enough to do another lap and complete the full 5km or not.

    The Closest Train Station And Tram Stop Is Altrincham And Hale. They Are Both Under 10 Mins Drive Away. We Have Contacted Local Taxi Firms To Inform Them About The Event And The Increase Of Demand. The Event Organisers Aim To Arrange A Shuttle Bus Through The Day From Altrincham Station. Details Of This Service Will Be Sent Via Email In September.

  • What Is Featured In The Event?

    The Event Will Feature A 3 Or 5K Run With An Alcoholic Beverage Each Kilometer (Drinks Are Provided As Part Of The Package). There Will Be A Selection Of Drinks Including Beer, Wine Or Gin. We Have A Variety Of Obstacles Throughout The Run To Add An Extra Element Of Fun And Challenge For All Participants.

  • What Are The Parking Facilities?

    Yes, Parking Facilities Will Be Available On Site For Free.

  • What Are The Toilet Facilities?

    There Are Toilet Facilities Available In The Clubhouse And Changing Rooms. We Highly Recommend Going Before The Race, However At Roughly The 2.5K Mark You’ll Have A Chance To Dart In To The Rugby Club As It Is The Start Of The Circuit That You Will Do Two Laps Of.

  • Can I Get Food At The Event?

    Bowdon Rugby Club Will Be Providing Food Which Consists A Selection Of Hot And Cold Food.

  • When Is The Event Taking Place?

    The Sports Event Will Be Held On 6th And 7th Oct At Bowdon Rugby Club. Your Race Time Will Vary Depending On Your Allocated Time Slot. Please See Above For Possible Time Slots.

  • What Are The Ticket Categories?

    You can choose to run the race with or without alcoholic drinks included.

  • Is There An Age Restriction?

    Due To The Consumption Of Alcohol, Participants Have To Be Over The Age Of 18. ID Will Be Checked When Registering To Compare Your DOB With Your Booking Confirmation. Spectators Of All Ages Are Welcome.

  • Are There Changing Facilities?

    Yes, The Rugby Club Offers Multiple Changing Rooms With Toilets, Changing And Showers Available.

  • Can I Store My Bags?

    There Will Be A Bagging Area To Leave Any Baggage And Clothing. However Activity Inside This Area Will Not Be Supervised So Your Personal Belongings Are Left At Your Own Risk. We Recommend Any Valuables Are Left In Your Car Or With Spectators.

  • What Happens If I Get Hurt?

    We Don’t Expect This As The Race Is Designed To Minimise Accidents. However, St John’s Ambulance Team Are On Standby In The Unlikely Event Of Any Injuries. We Have Marshals Through The Event With High-Vis Coats And Will Communicate And Manage Any Situation Promptly. There Is Access To All Areas Of The Course In The Event Of An Emergency.

  • Are Spectators Allowed?

    Yes, Spectators Are All More Than Welcome To Watch At The Start And Finish Of The Event. If Free Of Charge. The Clubhouse Will Be Open For Food And Beverages. We Kindly Ask All Spectators To Be Respectful And Stay In The Designated Area For Heath And Safety Reasons.

  • Is It Event Accessibility Friendly?

    There Will Be Accessibility In Our Spectator Area For Wheelchairs. Participants Have To Complete A Waiver Explaining The Dangers Of The Course. Please Contact Us In Advance If You Require Any Special Assistance For Taking Part Before Booking.

Fabulous social fun event . Lovely group . Great set up . We were called the cheat chicks as we got round without the beer!! It is expensive and not enough wine choice as I’m not a beer girl . But a great Saturday afternoon .
