Orange safety netting lines the path, and other racers and onlookers are in the background. A group of runners, wearing athletic gear and numbered bibs, are starting a race on a grassy field. A large red inflatable arch with the word "START" in white letters is visible in the background. Spectators and banners line the course. Trees are in the distance. Three runners wearing race bibs numbered 283, 281, and 282, pass by a hydration station during a road race. Two volunteers in yellow vests offer them water. The backdrop includes trees and a table with refreshments. A colorful logo is visible in the bottom right corner. A man and a young boy wearing green, both standing on a grassy field, share a high five at a running event. Other participants and some event banners can be seen in the background, and the boy looks thrilled. The man wears a gray shirt, gray shorts, and rainbow socks. A smiling woman wearing a race bib, sunglasses, and patterned leggings is running with her arms raised. Several children, also with race bibs, are running alongside her. Behind them, a man is pushing a stroller on a grassy field. Trees and a banner are in the background. Organiser's Description

📅 29th August
A day full of running and fun 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🤸‍♀️💃🍔🍦

Running; it’s at the heart of the festival. It’s physical. It can improve not only your fitness but also your mental health. It can boost your self-esteem. It can give you solitary headspace or a whole new running family community. You can work at it or use it to relax. You can run fast or slow, short intervals or a very long way. Anyone can get involved – and this is what also makes it a festival – it’s for everyone.

Our festival is not just a celebration of running; we’re celebrating the whole community – all the residents, visitors, local groups, businesses and charities that make it possible for us to all come together and enjoy the event, whether you run it or not!

Multiple attractions will be waiting for you at the festival venue, including the hugely popular street food market with a great selection of food and drinks, local craft stalls, displays, outdoor activities and plenty of entertainment and live music on the Northstowe Festival of Running stage.

What a fab day! The whole event was so well organised and the numerous stewards/marshals fantastic. As someone towards the back of the half marathon the marshals still provided wonderful encouragement. Pre-race information covered any queries I might have had. Recommend it to anyone
